The Department of Science


The Science Education Programme trains pre-service and in-service teachers to become graduate experts for teaching Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in secondary schools. The Programme offers a range of tools to help students develop their skills in Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry and also essential pedagogical knowledge to teach effectively science subjects.

Graduates of the Science Education Programme are teachers who can make a difference in classroom application of learning principles. They graduate with pedagogical content knowledge which has a high value in today’s job market. Moreover, they can access to positions in research establishments, and industries.
