The Vice Chancellor of UNIK attended a Conference in Montreal, Canada

The Vice chancellor of UNIK, Prof Karuranga Egide was invited to present in the 24th Montreal Conference dated June 10-4, 2018 on how wood is widely used in socio-economic life in Rwanda particularly and in Africa in general as a source of food, fuel, construction material, and housing.  The role played by the University of Kibungo in finding solutions to deforestation, malnutrition, climate change mitigation, sustainable development through community engagement is highlighted. The same conference was attended by some Officials from Rwanda such as Mrs. Clare Akamanzi, the Director of Rwanda Development Board(RDB).
