UNIK men’s volleyball club finished 11th at African Club Volleyball championship in Tunisia
The University of Kibungo (UNIK) men’s volleyball club has arrived yesterday at Kanombe international airport from 36th African club volleyball championships in Tunisia.

UNIK VC has ended at 11thranking after winning all matches against Sub-Sahrian Africa matches and losing all Arabs men’ volleyball Clubs. UNIK VC has won against Benin 3-0, Botswana 3:0 and Burkina Faso 3:1 and Soudan 3:0. They have lost against Libya, Algeria.

Olivier NTAGENGWA, the captain said that “We have learnt from Arabs’ clubs as they are professional players and have enough equipment to perform well… We have won all the matches against Africa Sub-Saharian volley ball clubs and lost all matches against Arabs volley ball clubs”.
Al Ahly Egypt won the African Club Championship title after their victory aver Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel 3-1 in the final match held at Tunisia from 16th to 27th March, 2017.
