Dr Charles Karemangingo (Ph D, Associate Professor) is a professional agronomist and a soil scientist with 39years of experience varying from agricultural extension, watershed management, soil fertility management and higher education management. Charles’s wide experience varies from Central and West Africa to North America. His research area of interest includes soil fertility management and agro-environment, particularly adaptive field research studies designed to provide comprehensive nutrient management practices to farmers, with regard to soil and manure nitrogen and phosphorus management. .
In terms of experience in higher education management, Prof Karemangingo was the Rector of the former Higher Institute of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (ISAE) for about five years, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Rural Development for three years, and actually Director of the Centre for Research and Institutional Development of the University of Kibungo. Charles has taught soil chemistry and soil fertility management over the last 10 years.
